It has been seen when menopause occurs when a woman has not got any menstrual period for a year. It has been seen that when any woman goes for the menopause, then after that she did not experience any further bleeding.

But in some of the cases, it has been seen that woman suffers from vaginal bleeding even after menopause. When you are experiencing the after menopause bleeding, then one must make it sure that she should immediately go to the doctor and show her problem. If one does not go to the doctor, then it may lead to a serious problem in the future.

Why bleeding after menopause occurs?

There are many reasons for which the after menopause occurs. They are mentioned below.

Polyps

These are said to be the tissue growths that shows up inside the uterus or even cervical canal or on the cervix. These things are not referred to as cancer but they can able to cause heavy bleeding, spotting or even bleeding after the sex.

Endometrial Hyperplasia

It has been seen that after menopause, one may able to have too much estrogen and can have too little progesterone. Due to this, the endometrium usually gets thicker as well as can able to bleed. It is said that sometimes all the cells in the endometrium which can able to become abnormal and it may cause cancer in you.

Endometrial atrophy

This is a type of tissue that lines with the uterus. This too shows with the hormones which are like progesterone as well as estrogen. When hormone level becomes low then after menopause it can able to cause too thin, and it may trigger bleeding.

Vaginal atrophy

It has been said that estrogen will be helping to keep the tissue healthy. If you have got menopause, then low estrogen levels can able to cause the vaginal walls to become thin, dry as well as inflamed.

The occurrence of cancer

It is seen that bleeding is the most common symptom of all endometrial or can uterine cancer which is after menopause. This can also be the signal vaginal or even cervical cancer.

Sexually transmitted diseases

Sometime it may cause due to gonorrhoea and it may cause spotting as well as bleeding which happens after sex.

When any bleeding causes, then the most preferred way is to go for the doctor and to undergo for the physical exam. One may go for another test like they are mentioned below.

Endometrial biopsy

When a doctor uses a thin tube-like structure to collect the sample of the tissue which in lines turn the uterus. Then the sample will be taken to the lab for the further test.

Transvaginal ultrasound

This type of image will be helping the doctor check for the growths as well as look at the thickness of all endometrium. In this doctor will put small probe to the vagina and send sound waves to create the picture of that.

Hysteroscopy

In this doctor needs to look inside the uterus, and this will be done with the help of hysteroscope.

Sonohysterography

This test is done to measure the size of polyp and will out the saltwater solution which is inside the uterus to create a clearer ultrasound image. These are some of the diagnose that one can able to go if she suffers from after menopause bleeding.
