Update: Thalapathy Vijay is making headlines with his latest Tamil movie Sarkar which is in headlines due to its massive box office collections reports. But an exhibitor claimed that all these reports are fake and that movie is not generating that much profit at the box office.
Jeyaveeran, one of a partner in GK Cinemas, claims that the movie is running slow in the theaters and that Chengalpet distributor is in a loss due to the movie. After Jeyaveeran’s claim Sun Picture has came forward and said to pay a compensation to distributors from Tamil Nadu for their loss because of the film.
Ruban Mathivanan, who is a managing director of GK Cinemas, strongly denied Jeyaveeran’s claim and said that Sarkar is performing great at the box office and making a good money. Ruban said, “Any news about any movie’s success or collections at our screen will be shared officially only from this account. #Sarkar is very much a profitable venture for us. For cheap publicity, someone manipulated one of our partners to get such an interview [sic].”
