Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Saturday mentioned judges on the grassroots are reluctant to grant bail as a result of concern of being focused.
At a felicitation occasion organised by the Bar Council of India, CJI Chandrachud mentioned, “The upper judiciary is flooded with bail functions attributable to reluctance at grassroots to grant bail. Judges on the grassroots are reluctant to grant bail not as a result of they don’t perceive crime, however there’s a sense of concern of being focused for granting bail in heinous circumstances.”
