Rajnikanth’s latest offering named 2.0 that was released last week is moving perfectly worldwide. Shankar’s directed film has turned out to be the first film of India which has been screened in 3D for more than 47,000 screens in China. The film had good box office collection in early three days which made it cross Rs 200 crore worldwide. The film was formed in a budget of Rs 750 crore and is one the most expensive movie in India. The film is a sequel to Rajnikanth’s 2010 Sci-fic movie named Robot.
Since the beginning film, 2.0 is in huge buzz as two brand faces of the film industry are working together on the same project, i.e. Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth. The film is being compared with Prabhas starred Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. In comparison to that Rajni-Akshay, starring 2.0 is one step below regarding box office collection. Despite of having more than Rs 200 crore as a collection in first three days, the film is lagging behind Prabhas’s Baahubali 2.
Baahubali: The Conclusion has a collection of Rs 382.5 crore as the worldwide collection in just two days of release which shows that the figure attained by Baahubali in only two days is higher than the 2.0 collected in three days.
Regarding India’s most prominent movie Prabhas’s Baahubali: The Conclusion is still holding that stage. Despite being made in less budget, the film was more anticipated and more nicely reviewed by everyone.
Movie 2.0 is still on its way to recover the remaining budget of Rs 540 crore. Still, a long way to go for the film. In the coming weeks, Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero movie will get released which will affect the box office collection of 2.0. According to Ramesh Bala, the film industry expert, 2.0 earned Rs 135 crore in India and another Rs 55 crore overseas by its second day which made a total of Rs 190 crore.
