Alberto, the first named of the storm 2018 hurricane season has been intensified on Sunday off the coast of Florida. The place is threatened by rain and rough surf conditions, and it kept the vacationers off the beaches which are along the eastern Gulf Coast which is during the busy Memorial Day Weekend.

The National Hurrican Center has issued an advisory in its 8:30 PM ET by saying that Subtropical Storm Alberto and the storm has now attained the wind speed of about 65 mph and it is located about 195 miles west of Tampa and is moving towards the northwest at ten mph.  According to the centre, “On the forecast track, the centre of Alberto will move over the northern Gulf of Mexico tonight and cross the northern Gulf Coast in the warning area on Monday.” Forecasters also said that the storm surge could be as high as 4 feet long as much as in Florida’s Gulf Coast which is from Crystal River to Navarre.

This subtropical storm Alberto has been a cooler centre than the tropical storm, and it is the strongest winds which can be found farther from the centre. These types of storms can be developed into tropical storms and can further get strong to become the hurricanes.

As per the authorities, gusty showers have started to slash parts of Florida on Sunday. The governors of Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama have already declared the states of emergency ahead of the storm. The beaches of Florida wore a deserted look ahead of Memorial Day as Alberto has approached the northern Gulf Coast which carries the brisk rains and winds.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management said that they started to evacuate the small and parsley populated Gulf Coast barrier islands in one Florida County.
