2.0 Box Office Collection Day 39: Rajinikanth-Akshay Movie To Release Again

2.0, which is a sequel of 2010 released movie Robot is breaking all the records of the collection at the box office since it hit the theatres. It seems like S. Shankar’s directorial science fiction action movie is in no mood to stop as the film is still generating a great business. The film is not only doing well in India, but it has created hype across the world. Impressively the film has managed to still attract the audience in some parts due to which the film is going to release again in new year.

According to the recent reports, 2.0 which is starring two big stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, has released again in one of the theatres of Hyderabad on 3rd January 2019, Friday. Four shows of the film are running currently as the sci-fi movie has managed to gross Rs 1.2 crore from this theatre within 29 days. The movie is receiving an overwhelming response from the audience due to which multiplex owners are considering to release this movie again.

Rajinikanth and Akshay starrer 2.0 has become a very first film to collect Rs 24 crore from Chennai, Mersal was holding this record before. While Baahubali 2 has grossed Rs 19.03 crore from Chennai box office, 2.0 has crossed this figure on December 10.

2.0 was released last year on 29th November on around 4000 screens. The Tamil movie was released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The Hindi version of the movie has collected Rs 190 crore so far while the film is standing strong with the total box office collection of over Rs 400 crore from India. The most expensive movie of Indian cinema which is made under the massive budge of Rs 543 crore has become the highest grosser of Indian cinema. Rajinikanth and Akshay’s movie has beat the collection of Aamir Khan starrer Danga which grossed total Rs 387 crore from the Indian box office.
